“The above monitor won't allow my Mac desktop to fill entire screen, black 4.5" bars on both sides, and maxes out at 1080p. If I take it back and get the one with DisplayPort, will that solve the problem? Adapter didn't work either”

• Works fine on my Mac, just accept the monitor's native settings, and use the display port connections, not HDMI on both ends.
