• A good 5 inches. Allows for any wiring, plumbing and cooling of the unit. Better safe then sorry.

• I have 36” from the wall to the front of the washer. This allows plenty of bending space for the hoses without putting any stress. If your spot tight you could probably get away with 32-33” if necessary
