“can you mix with a same brand washer but the width of the washer is bigger? The highest we can go is 73 1/2 inches for the stacked washer and dryer, width 34 inches. We had an all in one and it kept breaking down. We do not want a "dorm" sized unit.”

The washer and dryer should have the same width to safely stack. If the widths aren't the same, the footprint probably won't align to support the units being stacked. Typically, the depth of the dryer is greater than the washer but the widths are the same. ^Daphane
