• I use mine for towels but if you fill it to capacity ir will take more than a cycle. Keep it to 75% and 1 cycle will do for each load, even with 2-3 towels and other stuff inside. When doing sheets, we only add pillow cases and underwear to fill ti to 3/4, not other towels.

• Seems too long. I do run an additional one cycle for 30 minutes on air dry for sheets and towels. I would check your air duct and see if it's clogged.
