“Our current compact stacked Whirlpool units are located in a closet built for this purpose with drain, drain pan water etc. we can currently operate with the solid closet door closed. Will this be aproblem for this unit. Our home is a condo.”

Dont think it would be a problem. Once hooked up, I have needed to access the back or sides.
