    1. I love that I have just 1 machine and not 2, saves so much space! 2. Love love love that I can start a load before work and come home to everything done. 3. Drying cycle work great! People having issues are overloading. You don't want to have the clothes fill more than half of the circle height wise. (Half gets you about 4 pants, 5 shirts, and a bunch of socks) so no it's not a lot but it cleans very well! I've put my queen size comforter which dried just fine and it smelled so good for days!! 4. We hooked it up to our sink disposable and sink water lines. It fits where a dishwasher or fridge would. Super easy hook up. They offered to install at delivery but since we were doing it differently, I just passed on installation. 5. VENTLESS!!! Yes ventless. It's in our kitchen and you don't need to vent it outside, it's amazing!! And is very helpful when you're renting. 6. It does take longer but when your at work all day, you don't even notice the time. Plus theres a turbo cycle that you can add which shortens the time. Points to note: if your lazy and dont fold/ hang your clothes when they're done, they'll get wrinkly. Also, at the end of each cycle you need to clean the lint on the door / rubber lip. (Literally takes 1 minute, I use a baby wipe) ....never found it in my clothes or all over the house like some reviews are saying. Overall best purchase I've ever made! You'll love not having to remember to change over the laundry and coming home to only having to put them away. Anytime I can skip a step, I'm all for it!!!

I have used machines similar to this when I visited Japan last year. I have not had a problem at all with mine, and I have been using it a month. To get the best clean, adjustments on how you do laundry have to be made. The only thing I dislike is that it does not have a lint trap like the Panasonic I used in Japan. It would be really helpful. Sorting by clothing type is a must. Only filling the tub halfway, because it will not dry properly if you overfill it. A pedestal lifting the unit to a higher height if you have a wall drain will shorten drying time. I tend to avoid using the cotton setting, as the clothes always seem to come out more wrinkled than when I use permanent press. Overall this machine is a great space saver, and I really like it.

We had a previous version of this unit, the WM3988HWA, for about 12 years until a lightning storm fried it, so we upgraded to the newer model. This washer/dryer combo is great for small spaces, such as apartments or homes with small laundry rooms. It runs off of a standard 110v AC power plug, which is included. Also included are two water hoses to connect to hot and cold water sources, and a drain hose. Since it uses condensation to dry clothes, it does not require a vent hose. PRO: It will wash then dry an entire load of laundry at once. Just set it and forget it. When you come back, your clothes are clean and dry. CON: It takes about three or four hours to completely wash and dry a load of laundry from start to finish. Just put your clothes in at bedtime, they will be ready in the morning.

So...I first used one of these units while on holiday & fell in love with the concept. When my dryer and washer moved on, I searched for an “all-in-one” unit for their replacement. I found this unit and immediately attempted to research its dependability and size. It’s the size of a typical front load washer and requires no vent system. The turbo mode washes the clothes in 30 minutes and does a great job cleaning the clothes. The dryer setting takes a little longer than a typical dryer, but does a great job as well. I haven’t experimented with all of the different settings yet, but plan on doing it before the end of the year. Overall it’s pretty quiet during the initial wash cycle and dry cycle, the spin cycle is a little noisy, but nothing obnoxious. It costs a little less than a top of the line washer and dryer combined. The salesman was awesome and helpful, the delivery dudes were early and ultra competent.

I love this washer/dryer combo. Yes it takes a while to do a load. Just don't overload it and it's fine. Every person I tell it about has never heard of a washer/dryer combo so that's cool. I bought this one because it is 4.3 cu. Ft. And the other one was cheaper but way to small. So I got this one and would recommend it to any small family. I have myself my young daughter and my wife, it keeps up just fine. We made our laundry room smaller to extend our bathroom and that was the main reason we got this. It just have a bigger bathroom. But it was a great purchase. It runs of a 110 plug and not 220 and not natural gas.

Fair warning if you have pets you will need to clean it more often not unlike any dryer though. Lint roller works best or any type of tape. But I mean seriously I dont know how people find anything to complain about. You're enjoying a product that lets you put your clothes in dirty and you get them back clean and dry with no middle step. Hold the steam button down to turn on steam fresh and it will reduce wrinkles from sitting at end of cycle. Saves space, cleans efficiently, has more options than you could ask for, and is backed by warranty. Haven't had a single problem for the 3 months I've been using it.

I bought this washer/dryer combo for my wife thinking I was doing something good, but not even a year old and we’ve gone through 2 water pumps!! LG had sent their tech out when the first pump went out in June of this year. Now in August, two pumps (yes, the first and now a second one) as well as a drain hoses need to be replaced. I do have to say that LG has stood behind their product but I wouldn’t buy this piece of junk for my worst enemy. Now we are dealing with Geek Squad to rectify this situation. We are going on three weeks without a washer, a $2000.00 piece of junk, this round. Three weeks in June and three weeks in August! More time at the laundromat then actually getting usage out of a machine that’s less than seven months old. FYI the LG pumps are made out of plastic and held together with a magnet. Man, times have changed and they don’t make anything with quality anymore.

I love, love, love this laundry machine! My clothes have never been cleaner or looked better after washing/drying them in this AMAZING machine! It may take longer to dry things, but it doesn’t damage the fabric like a traditional dryer! My absolute favorite thing besides all the different fabric settings and cycle options, is the happy little tune the machine plays to let you know your laundry’s done!

I was so excited to get this all in one machine. I thought to myself “FINALLY SOMEONE THOUGHT ABOUT MOMS!!!” First of all... I read the directions to make sure I didn’t mess something up. And I tried using it with my towels and they wouldn’t get dry... they eventually got a mildewy smell; I had to throw all of those towels away. So sad. I thought, let me try it with something thinner. To wash something takes 2 hours and 20 minutes and to actually dry it will take 17 hours and 30 minutes. My goodness!!!!!! What a electricity wasting, time wasting, life wasting machine. Plus the lint is hard to clean out. There isn’t a lint catcher. I believe the machine would’ve worked correctly if there was a way to blow hot air through the machine through a vent out the wall like the old-school dryer. Unfortunately LG needs to go back to the drawing board and scratch this idea and create a new one. It really is sad that it couldn’t be true.

I have owned this unit for almost 1 year. I purposely waited to write this review as I have been on the fence with the unit for a while. The idea of one machine and freeing up some much needed storage space was very enticing which greatly influenced my purchasing decision when my old dryer died. First off, what I love. I do love the ease of use. The control panel is easy to navigate, detergent and supplies easy to load, and the tub is very big. What I don't love is the fact that EVERYTHING comes out of this unit wrinkled. Even permanent press comes out wrinkled. If you put in a small load it isn't quite as bad but it is still wrinkled. Because the unit is a condensation dryer rather than a forced air dryer you must remove the clothes immediately after the cycle completes or the moisture left in the atmosphere of the unit creates HORRIBLE wrinkles. Even removing the clothes immediately will NOT prevent wrinkles. Also, as many others have said, it takes at least twice the time of my old units to run a complete cycle. Not unusual to have a wash/dry time of 3.5 hrs per load. Yes, per load. It takes all day to do 3 loads of laundry. Also, you do not have the ability to fluff clothes to remove wrinkles. I REALLY miss that. I think the unit cleans your well if you use warm water. I typically use cold but it doesn't seem to clean well using cold. Cleaning off the lint is a little more of an issue and takes longer but that's not a deal breaker. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this unit because of the time it takes to run a load and the wrinkles. I work in a professional office so I now am forced to iron ALL of my clothes. I waste a great deal of time that I don't have to do laundry. This definitely has not made my life easier. I have a small studio on my property and plan to move this unit to the studio to wash towels. It's a very expensive towel washing machine. I will be replacing a 1 yr old unit with a new separate washer and dryer in my house. I really wanted this machine to work well but it has proven to be more of an issue than a help. I can't recommend for a household unit.

    Exactly what I needed

This machine is exactly what i wanted. It does exceptionally well at getting my clothes the cleanest they’ve ever been and dry. I live in a place that is very old. It has a gas hookup and the standard washer drain and spouts. However... the vent is less than safe. Basically a hole in the wall someone made a long time ago that vents to nowhere under the house. I just don’t trust it. With this unit, I don’t need a vent and or a special power socket! After a few months of going to the laundromat every week I caved in and got the unit. The price is high but I got it on sale and bought the pedestal with the savings. There are only two adults including myself in my household with pets. This unit works beyond my expectations. I plan to do a little less than half of filling capacity every 2 or 3 days. So far that has worked great. Regular wash with dry took around 3-3:15 hours start to finish. I don’t really care that it takes a bit longer. I’m not in a hurry to start folding. I do other things and don’t need to do another load afterwards so that doesn’t bother me. Once I feel comfortable with the machine, I’ll set it so it washe while we’re at work and come back to clean and dry clothes. Clothes were dry upon completed cycle. I’m impressed. I wipe the rubber lint catcher/gasket with a wipe and it takes away the hair and lint after each use. There is a slight burning rubber smell that is obvious in the first few uses but it’s starting to fade. At first my clothes smelled burnt but it went away when I folded them. I’m so happy with the purchase. Would totally recommend this to anyone that is like me. Set it and forget it.

After 6 months, this has been a great product! I love throwing in a load and then leaving for the day. It washes and dries while I'm gone. And the quality seems really good. It is pretty big, so I would get this size if your looking to save space. The only issue we've had is that the drier water pump is not super strong. So it doesn't pump all the water up to our connections that the landlord put 4ft up the wall for some reason. But there is a release on front that can drain into a bowl or something to help with this. Also, like everyone asks, it dries as well as any other drier out there. Overall, it's a great purchase! Highly recommend!

I researched this for so so so very long and highly regret I didn’t make the purchase sooner. I read a lot of reviews indicating that the drying takes “forever” but the washer is great. I digress! Both the washing and drying cycle is PERFECT! I live in not the best apartments right now, and was so tired of paying $2 each to wash and dry my clothes in a laundry “room” that smelled of urine. I decided to go ahead and purchase this and it was the best decision of my life! I hooked it up in my spare bathroom and attached the hose for cold water (bought an adapter separately, mind you) where the toilet was connected. I put the drain house in the bathtub- and it’s low. I believe the problem people are having is that they either have their drain house placed too high, or the drain house is twisted in some way. I have done three loads so far and am on my fourth as we speak. Average full cycle time for me is 1 hour and 30 minutes. (Maybe 2) I stop the dryer before it hits 2 hours and my clothes are bone dry! If they feel damp, it’s because of the steam; shake it off and it will be dry I promise. I couldn’t have picked a better company to buy this from either. I ordered it on Friday and got it Monday morning! Thank you so much Best Buy and LG for changing my life. It was so hard to manage a 2 year old boy and walk back and forth throughout the apartments to do laundry. I will never have that problem again! If you are doubting it or trying to make a decision- BUY IT! You won’t regret it. I put in exactly how much I’m supposed to, there is a little sticker that says “max load for drying”. Please follow that and your clothes will be washed and dried better than ever! Also, do not use too much laundry detergent. I use liquid and barely fill the cup 1-2 inches.

we needed to save space so we decided to try this machine. It is ventless and plugs into a regular 110 outlet. The drying function does not work as well as a traditional dryer it does not blow air but relies on a very high speed spin cycle. It works better if not heavily loaded and takes longer to dry but if you want to save space i recomend this machine. It also has a delayed start timer which allows you to load the machine and set the timer so you can wake up to a load of completed laundry. I have not had it long so i cannot comment on reliability or energy usage.

Takes some getting used to as a typical wash and dry cycle is 2.5 hours. The advantage is when you put a load of dirty clothes in, it will come out washed clean and dried. No need to switch the load from one machine to another. Great when you turn on in the morning and leave for work. Key rule (same as conventional washer and dryer) is to sort clothes by cotton and non-cotton so you do not unbalance the load and damage the unit. Cotton absorbs more water than polyester, etc., so you can have different weights in the drum if you mix fabric, there by damaging the machine when spinning.

They were not joking when they said that the machine takes a lot of time to dry (4-6+ hours), but we were expecting that and it did not bother us. This machine has exceeded our expectations in ALMOST every aspect, It cleans well and it does dry your clothes. I love that it is ventless and a huge space saver. The exception to this happy union is in how much noise it makes! There are loud bangs and clunks at different transitions. It does not matter if the load is large or small. Turbo Wash is even worse in how much noise and movement it produces. I have tried to balance the loads and make the loads smaller...it does not help. It is also important to note that we bought this particular machine size because we have king size comforters. While it has a heavy load option, it will not allow you to dry it if you use this setting to wash your items. If it were not for the excessive noise and vibration of the machine, I would give it 5 stars! And a friendly note, be careful with the lint trap...it is flooded! There is a release valve...make sure that this is completely empty before opening it. And it holds more water than you think...make sure you have a large shallow container to empty it.

I only had space for a tiny super space saver stack which could fit one outfit at a time. So glad I can fit a weeks laundry in, press start, and walk away knowing the next time I look,y clothes will be clean and dry! I’ve tried 3 full size towels, a couple handfuls of washcloths, a couple kitchen towels and a few shirts and socks(I don’t really sort) and it probably took a few hours to run through. Came out dry. I ran a set of sheets and pillowcases along with a couple towels, same deal. The tiny room it is in got a little warm and humid, but nothing that bothers me. So much better than one outfit at a time and I feel that I can easily complete 2-3 loads of laundry on a Sunday. I got a set of thick anti vibration pucks and a catch pan for this to sit in. Pucks made this run with very little sound and pretty much no vibration. Catch pan will have to be trimmed a bit so the pedestal drawer will clear...didn’t think of that. Also check to make sure you have a regular plug where you will put this. I am havin to run an extension cord until I can have an electrician come. Overall great solution to do laundry unless maybe you have a ton...although tossing it in before you go to bed throughout the week is an option with that as well. Anyhow, I wouldn’t be scared this won’t dry your clothes or will take forever. Works great!
