As with our standalone LG Front-Load Washers, the doors for this Energy Star® Certified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. HE Smart Front Load Washer and 7.4 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer WashTower™ with Steam and Built-In Intelligence - Black Steel, Model # WKGX201HBA, are irreversible. They are irreversible due to structural and safety constraints unique to its single-unit vertical design. Because the WashTower features a single, continuous metal chassis framing both the washer and dryer, the internal steel bracing, latch receivers, and hinge anchors are factory-welded exclusively on the left side to maximize the tower's rigid stability. Front-load washers experience high physical stress and rotational force during 1,300 RPM spin cycles. Because the washer and dryer are physically connected, the doors and their thick tempered-glass panels are structurally engineered to distribute weight evenly. Reversing the door components would compromise the heavy-duty gasket seal alignment, drastically increasing the risk of water leaks or latch failures over time. Safety switch & wiring harness paths also make the doors irreversible. The WashTower utilizes integrated safety switches inside the door frames to prevent the drums from spinning while open. The electrical wiring harnesses that power these sensors and the integrated LED drum lights are routed through the left side of the cabinet structure during factory assembly. There are no corresponding internal wiring channels or control board connection points on the right side of the unit to support a door reversal...^Ivan.
