I have had the best luck with xbox using the HDR Effect setting. I set to Medium but You can tweak to Your taste.

Enable it on the input your Xbox is plugged into. Next go into your display and sound settings on your Xbox, select 4K UHD for your tv resolution, and for video fidelity color depth setting, select 30 bits per pixel (10-bit). Next go into the advanced video settings on your Xbox, and make sure TV connection is set to auto-detect, and for the check boxes under "for games & apps" make sure all that can be checked/unchecked are all enabled. Last, go into 4K TV details in the same menu, and if everything is checked green, you're all set and ready to play your games in 4K!!
