Personally I think HDMI better, but there’s not a huge difference, unless you use the optical cable that comes with the soundbar. That cable is pretty bad. It may also be wise to consider that you cannot utilize Dolby Atmos unless you use a HDMI ARC connection, which is a huge part of the SK10Y. I’d recommend HDMI if you want to truly use your soundbar.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The HDMI cable is better and is in fact the only way to utilize dolby atmos which has to go through the ARC HDMI connection on the television. You don't have to go expensive on the cable though. The Belkin 8k HDMI cable is less than $30 and is one of the best cables on the market. Enjoy your new set up!
