As a first troubleshooting step when installing the WDP5B pedestal under your WM8900HBA: Verify Packaging Contents: Ensure that your WDP5B pedestal includes all mounting hardware—specifically four pedestal bolts, the leveling feet, skid‐resistant pads, and the installation guide. Position & Level the I-Frame: Before lowering the washer onto the pedestal, place the pedestal on a flat, stable surface. Rotate the leveling feet until the pedestal sits flush, without rocking. Use a carpenter’s level front-to-back and side-to-side to confirm stability. Align & Secure the Washer: Carefully lift (or tilt) the empty WM8900HBA washer so that its front two feet align with the front anchors on the pedestal. Lower the washer straight down, making sure each washer foot sits within the pedestal’s support sockets. Once seated, insert each pedestal bolt through the pedestal into the washer’s mounting holes, tightening them by hand. Finally, use a socket wrench to snug each bolt—do not overtighten, as this can misalign the mounting points. Test for Vibration & Movement: After securing the bolts, run a quick rinse/spin cycle (without clothes) to verify that the washer does not shift or vibrate excessively.
