- Answer Most likely after 4 hours if you dont touch the TV that is a default setting just go into settings and flip the switch to turn that off.

- Answer It supports earc so it should. I have a JBL soundbar on it and it works fine. Also tried my nokamechi no problems.

QuestionWhy does Optical out shut off when using ARC?? My older 2017 OLED had the on the audio menu that both ARC/Optical could be turned on. My Optical in hearing aid device made by Siemens can now not be used. Is there a software change or is this a bad set?

The optical audio output on the LG OLED55C3PUA TV may shut off or become unavailable when an external audio device is connected via HDMI with ARC, as ARC becomes the preferred audio output method in this scenario. The optical audio output shutting off when using ARC appears to be by design, not a software issue or problem with the TV. It is a normal behavior of the LG OLED55C3PUA TV to prioritize the ARC connection over the optical output when an external audio device is connected via HDMI.
