I’ve never seen a dryer require 60amps. Standard homes only have a 30amp, mines on a 30 and works fine. FYI the amperage rating of a breaker is just the overcurrent protection. A 60amp would have to trip at 52-55amps, you don’t want that. 30 is fine. 4 prong is best, has a place for a neutral or return wire.

If the plug does not fit the outlet, a proper outlet will need to be installed by a qualified electrician. The dryer has its own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes (the circuit must be fused on both sides of the line). Electrical service for the dryer should be of the maximum rate voltage listed on the nameplate. Do not connect the dryer to 110-, 115-, or 120-volt circuit. ^Daphane
