your SKC9 is the very same speaker as the SK9Y sold in Best Buy. This should have nothing to do with the Costco purchased soundbar. Your soundbar, Rear surrounds or both can be at fault here. Try reaching LG Warranty support. If you have geek squad Warranty, reach Best Buy for help.
