I just bought this projector and use it on my screened porch during the day. It works but I don't think that you would be able to see it without the roof bringing the shade.

Please try again later.No, It is not for daytime particular outdoors, due to its brightness level...(600 lumens of brightness) However, in this price range, this is an excellent projector. Though it cannot be be used in bright sunny day with well lighted room. but it is bright enough in the cloudy day. If you want to use outdoors, at least 2000-2500 lumens of brightness is necessary.

If you want to watch the news at 36” in the shade, it is actually pretty good. We use ours while camping and frequently use it during the day under the awning projected against the side of the camper with a 30-40 inch image and it is watchable for news, sports etc.
