“I hooked up a JBL IRX108BT speaker via BT and it works fine, but I can’t control the volume with the projectors remote control. I have to use the volume knob on the speaker. Is there any way to control the volume by controller? It works for a Beats Pill.”

I am using it with my marshall speaker, it controls the volume with the remote. Maybe a speaker issue and not a projector thing. I suggest trying it with another speaker
