“Does the player support DTS X sound?In the user manual I found that the DTS HD is supported, and as far as I know DTS X is newer than DTS HD .DTS HD is equal to Dolby TrueHD.”

it does support Dolby Atmos not sure about DTS X we do have this player and it works great...
