“Can this unit send connection in both directions? In other words, can the single end plug into my laptop, and the 1/5 takes an Ethernet internet connection IN, then 2/5 can SEND internet signal to a mixer? Using a Behringer XR-18.”

This switch just extends the Ethernet network by allowing additional devices to be connected. Data is send both to and from all devices connected to it. Only the device that the data is intended for will acknowledge and accept it.
