“I have a DSL modem supplying 7 Meg service from my phone company (1 LAN output connection). Can I connect this switch to the modem for more output connections for computers/printers and then plug my wireless router into a switch port?”

I connect my modem to my wireless router and then connect the router to this switch via Ethernet to provide hardwired connections to several devices.

Yes you should be able to do so Be sure you contact your internet provider to be sure but that should be just fine

Hi, TazManTim. If your modem has DHCP capabilities then, yes, you can connect the switch to your modem. But, the modem doesn't have DHCP capabilities then, we recommend that you connect the router to your modem and connect the switch to the router's LAN port.
