Why the excessive price null

It is a lot, but in this case you are basically buying three full routers that can be meshed together, Its a little overkill yes, but if you think about it that way, its really $400 each. My last Linksys router was $600 so its not bad. It is still a lot though yes.

Just because the router makers are pure selfish and greedy, the electronics cost the same as 'regular' routers, there is no justification for the overpricing...
