Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You do not have to turn off the WiFi in your AT&T Router but there is no reason to keep it on. Just make sure you have different SSID's for the Velop and the AT&T.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Sam, We have this router and you can use it with your current WIFI that you are using and nothing will happen. We use our regular router in the front part of our house with the velop router and we use the second velop router down in the back part of the house. It is like using two wifi routers and it helps a lot of people are hooked up to your WIFI you can use either one and it wont slow it down.

You can setup the Velop to Bridge Mode and enhance your WiFi using the system. under Bridge Mode, the Velop will not have its own separate network. If you do turn of your router's WiFi settings, you would have two separate networks and the Velop nor your AT&T router (and any clients connected to each) would not be able to communicate with each other.
