Yes, you can use Ethernet for the backhaul. It also has a 3rd wireless band dedicated to the backhaul too but obviously hardwired is the way to go if you can.

The system works together that’s why they called a Wi-Fi mesh system so for instance if you have one of the pods when your first floor with the modem it works like a standard router but the other two parts in the system can be used like routers in the other areas meaning you can connect and ethernet cord to them directly if they are close enough. Also the system automatically decides where to put the most signal based on usage at that time and can constantly rotate that usage. You can also designate on the app on the phone where you want the most usage to be.
