Using the USB connection with your G635 Wired 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset for PC is basically what's going to allow you to use all of its features, like the lights, Surround Sound, etc. The USB is what gives power to your headset. You'll be able to customize all of this through our free G Hub software that can be downloaded here https://www.logitechg.com/en-ca/innovation/g-hub.html. If you use the other connection (3.5mm audio jack) with your phone, tablet, gaming consoles, etc., you won't get any lighting that way.
