• Worked just fine with iPhone X in case, Ipad 9.7 in case. Bluetooth connected case shouldn’t affect it.

• I don’t know about the pro, but it worked with my iPad mini in its case.

• Yes, depending hoe thick the cover. BTW, that is exactly what I do. Real advantage and ease with not having to remove cover.
