• Yes, the keys are very loud when typing. People can hear me typing when I'm on phone calls. It's very distracting.

• They're not as clacky as a regular mechanical keyboard, but the keys themselves are a little stiff, so there is a distinct noise when typing on it. Louder than laptop keys, I wouldn't type with it in a library. I'd say that this isn't the one to use if being quiet or silent is a goal.

• Quiet typing unlike a typical desktop or laptop. At least the model we have is quiet and great in the library

• The keys are a little bit 'clickitty-clackitty"but are probably much quieter than the desktop keyboard that I am using here in the Columbia Public Library where I am typing this response!
