• It has a sleep button but you can also install Logitech's software to be able to program the buttons to do practically anything you want them to do! There's 12 function keys and all are re-programmable with the software.

• They do go into save the battery mode after not using for 15 minutes I think

• It doesn't have a "sleep button" but it does have an on/off switch. I would think that is the same thing.

• The keyboard and mouse both have power switches on them. Both devices go to sleep automatically after they are idle for a while. Normal to heavy use and still see more than a year before batteries need to be changed.
