You don't. You charge via the micro-USB port.

The mouse has a non removable rechargeable battery.

There are instructions that came with the device but it is also rechargeable. Plug the cord into the mouse and into your computer. When green light stops flashing it is charged. You could also Google Information about the device and get directions from there.

There is no battery, this get's charged by USB 2.0 cable. Front of mouse you will see a USB 2.0 port female to accept a USB 2.0 charging source

Remove the four screw hole covers on the bottom, remove screws, take off bottom plate and access battery.

You don't change the battery. Per Logitech's support team member, Valiant, the battery is not replaceable, even though it come with an illustration showing how to remove the battery for proper disposal (it has the typical micro-plug connection). Valiant said the battery will last for the lifetime of the mouse. Question though, IF the battery was to die, won't that be the end of life for the mouse??
