I would return it or contact Logitech under the manufacturers warranty. The mouse isn't meant to be opened up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are 4 Philips-head screws on the bottom. Remove theses and the bottom should come off to allow you to carefully clean inside.

You can push the trackball out and clean it, I just us a pencil's eraser end to push through the hole on the bottom of the mouse. I only see one on the bottom, I wouldn't think that just the one screw would be enough.
