Will this work for iPad Pro 9.7 null

I love this case, but it did not work on my new 9.7 iPad Pro. Technically, it works as in the bluetooth will connect, but the magnetic strip that holds the iPad in place won't connect. The new iPad has the Smart Connectors and they were not allowing the iPad to stand securely in the "laptop" position. If I'm doing something wrong, feel free to correct me as I'd love to continue to use it.
