“Are the keyboards for the Apple Air 2 compatible with the Apple Air?”

Since there appear to be slight differences in dimensions of the iPad Air vs the Air 2, I don't think they are compatible.

No, the original iPad Air is thicker than the Apple iPad Air 3.
