“just changed out my LG refrigerator water filter. It is the correct model number and working fine but the 'change filter light' will not go out with a 3 or 5 sec press. The light did flash a few times after inserting the new filter but won't re-set.”

To clear the filter indicator, press and hold the Filter Reset button (or the Lock and Light buttons on some models) for 3–5 seconds until the light blinks—then release. If the light remains on, try this quick power cycle: turn off the refrigerator at the breaker for 30 seconds, turn it back on, and then repeat the reset step above. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe you may simply need to hold the filter light button for more like 10 seconds. Sometimes mine resets after 5 seconds and sometimes I need to hold it a bit longer. I'm used to just holding it until I hear the reset tone.
