If you were to replace the battery it would have to be an aftermarket one. I have seen aftermarket batteries for the Marshall Tufton on the internet. Remember, if the battery ever completely died, you can always plug it in and still enjoy it. Even in your car. There are no visible screws to take this model apart. If you don’t want to plug it in, it makes a great conversation piece.
