There will not be a native Series X version. The Xbox One version will be playable on it with additional enhancements.

Please try again later.To add to the other answers, when you have these discs with the Series X upgrade available as part of Smart Delivery - the Xbox Series console HAS to reach out over the internet to activate it, at least the one time. Even if all the content needed to run it in 'Next-Gen Mode' (the higher fps, higher res textures, etc.) are on the disc, it'll still require that initial check-in. I tried a test by putting my xbox series x in offline mode and disconnected from internet for good measure - and can confirm it did need that check-in on the internet. SO, hopefully we can still play this game in 20 years if Microsoft xbox cloud services aren't around anymore!
