“I just purchased the Maytag 4.7 cu ft 11-cycle Top-Load Washer. Do you place the detergent pod in the same place where the liquid detergent go? The manual does not say.”

I always place them in the bottom of the washer as recommended on the pod package.

No throw it in with clothes in tub. I asked sales person when I bought it.

No you do not put the detergent pod in the dispenser You throw it in with your clothes The way you would normally do it with other washers

You would need to place single dose laundry detergent pods in the bottom of the Washer before loading in your clothing.
