Your 1-year begins as soon as you install on the first device, and it doesn't matter if you install onto 1 or up to 5, you still only have 1 year. If you only need to protect 1 PC, we do have McAfee Antivirus, which is a 1 PC only product. You can buy multiple copies of that and each one will provide you with a year of protection. Each new code you redeem will add 1 year to your subscription no matter when it is set to expire, so you could end up with a multi-year subscription that way.
