This was a download. I would prefer a physical media copy. They are much simpler to use for installation and don't rely on an internet connection or speed. Also if you have to reinstall because of a system crash a physical copy is much easier.

Our software comes in 2 formats - either a code printed on a card or a code you are emailed. Either way, you need to submit the code to our website and download the software. . Make sure when you redeem your code you come to our exact URL: https://www.mcafee.com/activate. It should ask you for the code and then request you setup an account with McAfee. You only need to enter your email address. You have the option of signing up for auto-renewal, which will ensure you stay protected, but that is not required. It will ask for a credit card number, but we won't charge you additional money until it's time to renew. Once you create your account, the software should download and install automatically. If you are asked for money or see anything outside of what I just described, you are on a fraudulent site so be careful.
