You could wire to the speakers on the door of your car but you to remember you still have to attach the RCA cable from your amp to the adapter. Best recommendation is from the back of the radio where can hide neatly.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The answer to your question is, Yes! You should be able to tap into an existing speaker wire(s) but there is a catch. The speaker wires that you choose to tap into can no longer be used. That means that you can connect to the back of your stereo, onto existing wires but, those wires shouldn’t continue to power sound to those speakers. (Unless you purchase an LOC that has a built in impedance leveler) Don’t waste your money on the cheap $15 one at Best Buy. It isn’t powerful enough to work properly, nor does it come with instructions. The suggested install process that is written on the box is extremely vague and useless. Instead, buy one that has its own power & lead wire attached.
