this adapter connects to the stereo giving outputs that are fairly easy to connect including steering wheel controls usb and other outputs i honestly couldnt tell you for multiple different types of stereo but it was remarkably easy with the one i bought which was panasonic touch screen double din with bluetooth steering controls and usb inputs/outputs
