“I am starting college this fall and want to buy a surface pro 6 or the surface laptop 1st Gen which I will mainly use for photo editing and streaming videos. Which one should I opt for? If someone has a better recommendation under 900$ please suggest.”

I would go with the surface laptop. A family friend of mine is a graphic designer, and he bought the laptop specifically for that. He loves it.
