• Yes, it does. Microsoft actually put in a stronger magnet than the pen that came with the Surface Pro 4 to reduce the likelihood of it falling off or getting lost.

• Yes it does. If I may I would recommend the Kensington Case. It provides a snug fit for the pen and will keep it from getting damaged if you toss your SP4 in your bag.
