• I had Vista and this worked fine. Be aware that if your PC subsequently dies you are not entitled to any further installs.

• yes - its like a new PC - you get a new code and operating system-you can reformat your drive - so save your data. you can do an upgrade if you want to save your programs - but save the DATA first anyway. Some of your old programs (proabaly most) may mot work on Windows 10
