A:Answer Just Windows 10 download or DVD. I recommend DVD since the download takes forever. After installing Win 10 DVD on an older Toshiba Vista Laptop, it has been running MS WIN 10 updates now for THREE DAYS on a 300Mbps wired RJ45 internet connection! This is NOT an easy upgrade. Plus you have to reinstall ALL your device specific Drivers after the Win10 installation. Not for the faint hearted or non-technical person.
It takes at least 50Gb of free Disk Space and seems to want 8Gb of available RAM. I installed a new 1TB HDD but this laptop is maxed out at 4Gb RAM so I had to configure 8Gb Virual RAM in Advanced System Settings to get WIN10 to run without bogging down to a crawl. I hope this project is worth it. The old Toshiba laptop still works great, but Vista is unsupported so Browsers, Chrome, many websites don't work anymore. This is the best most reliable laptop I've owned. 10 years old and still going! I cannot bear to just throw it away but if it cannot run WIN10 then that's what it will come to.
MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint all seperate. Best to buy package. The latest MS Office 365 2016 which also includes Outlook and Note is about $100 per year annual renewal. I cannot find it on CD/DVD with a permanent lucense anymore! Good ole Mickeysoft wants annual cash flow from renewals.
Good luck and Aloha
