Yes, you can. We recommend that you backup your files when upgrading.

Please try again later.Backup all your files, photos ect. in to a separate hard drive, and then if you doing a fresh clean intall of windows ten before you install it do a format to delete any trace of windows 7. After install of windows 10 just transfer your files back to the original hard drive. This is just me but i never keep my photos and files in the same hard drive as windows in case windows crash do to a bad update. If possible one ssd drive for windows and one regular for files, music etc. Hope this help
