Yes, It will work. All USB mouse and Keyboards are interchangeable with any Mac computer. Including wireless/ Bluetooth USB dongles would work as well.

The mouse is not a WiFi nor a bluetooth mouse. From what I have read, the iMac has a USB-C port (a much smaller port than a standard USB-A port). So, you would need to specifically purchase a mouse with a USB-C dongle or purchase a USB-C to USB-A adapter (Best Buy: Model:MJ1M2AM/ASKU:6622138, under $25.00) . The adapter might be a good investment if you use a flash drive to transfer files (instead of cloud based storage or transfer). The multi-port USB-A to USB-C is more expensive. Note: You should be able to find a USB-C mouse under $25.00. I would take my Mac to the nearest Best Buy, as they should have outside curbside assistance (or make an appointment to get inside) and tell the customer service support that you want 1) a USB-C to USB-A adapter for your Mac (apple products (OEM) will be more expensive than brand X (non-OEM), and 2) a the Microsoft Mouse. Total out of pocket is under $50 for non-OEM. Otherwise, you might purchase a non-OEM mouse with a USB-A dongle that comes with the USB-C adapter (I did not see a Microsoft Mouse like this one that fits the request). Good luck.
