• Probably won't fit your iPad 5. 1,2,3 & 4 can use the same case. i don't know about #5

• Since my ipad was the previous generation, I was specifically looking for cases that accommodated the previous model. I did notice that cases are clearly marked if it fits the 5th generation....I do not recall if this one specified that. Note: Many cases Do fit both.
