Does this work with an iPhone 8 SE null

Yes it will. It will work with most Qi enabled wireless smartphones.

It worked on an iPhone 8 Plus. A snap magnet is included to stick on a phone case and additional snap magnets can be purchased. The snap magnet is about 1/16 inch thick and holds pretty well. I was trying to find a MagSafe case so that the magnet is built in to the case but went the expensive route and upgraded to iPhone 13 Pro Max with a MagSafe case. Then found the new phone didn’t really need the extra battery but I’ll keep it around just in case for those extra long heavy use days.
