Yes, you may have to run a BIOS update initially depending on your setup. I have a Ryzen 5 2600 with the ASUS Prime Plus B550 motherboard. Initially, I had to connect my monitor via DisplayPort but once I ran the BIOS update for my motherboard the HDMI port worked perfectly.

This is a video card, not a monitor. HDMI is for video/audio out and use to connect to a TV/Monitor.
