• Ahort answer yes. I havnt tested if it still only runs x8 or x16 on pcie 3 tho. But thats not to big a deal for a middle tier ard tho.

• I believe it is compatible but you will only get the 3.0 pcie power.

• Yes, backwards compatible to PCIE 2.0 --- That's what my Gigabyte GA970A is. Works fine after getting Win 10 drivers from AMD. NOTE: No Win 8 or 8.1 drivers !

• Yes, mine is in a Gigabyte GA-970A and I had initially tested it in a Gigabyte 800 series, both are PCIE 2.0. So the 3.0 should be just fine.
