no, its a switch that just gives your router more ports.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't believe this model supports Wi-Fi, this is for cabled networks only. You would need a Wi-Fi router to do what you're describing in the question above.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this is nothing more than a switch for networking wired devices. If you connect it to your modem, you can only plug in one wired device that will have internet access as it does not route Information. You will need a wireless router to accomplish this. A router allows you to take one IP address from your internet service provider and allow multiple devices to connect to it by routing to a newly established network. Without a router, only one device can connect to your modem if it does not have routing capabilities. The best way to know is to see if it has multiple Ethernet ports on it. There will be a WAN (wide area network) and a LAN (local area network). The WAN is your internet access and the LAN is your local devices. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is not a router. It is a switch. We use it for expanding existing wired network (more available hardwire ports) and as a repeater when the distance between A and B is over 300 feet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you would still need a router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is to add more ports able to hook up to your original internet source. In my office setting, I needed my one internet cord to be able to serve 3 devices. I plugged the single Ethernet in and then hooked the other devices in and voila.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this is basically just a splitter. Our modem only has one Ethernet output, for security reasons my wife needs to connect her computer directly to the modem via Ethernet cable & we also need to connect our wireless router into the modem. So we plug this device into our modems single output then we can plug our wireless router & my wife’s computer to this device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, No. This is a passive switch. You need an actual wireless router to do that. This device adds more ethernet ports to a wireless router. Hope that gelps.
