You literally take it out of the box, plug the A/C adapter into the switch and then the other end into the A/C outlet. From there, plug Ethernet cable from your source (Router/cable modem) into one of the ports, and then your other components into the other four ports. You should be set up and good to go. It is THAT easy!

Please try again later.The NETGEAR GS605NA GIGABIT SWITCH is just a switch, obviously, so the setup is really simple: Your single upstream ethernet connection (often leading to a router or cable gateway) plugs in next to the power connection and the remaining downstream connections lead to your PCs, network printers, etc. (Setting up a router or gateway is MUCH more involved!)
