Should be able to, assuming you have an ethernet line that runs to the wireless router. This is a gigabit switch, so it should do the job and quickly.

If your modem and router really need to be that far apart, then I would recommend connecting your router to your modem using a long Ethernet cable.

And yes it can go into the Apple Time capsule, however, the Apple time machine will most likely conflict with the other wireless router, check with Apple
